Situated in a peaceful hidden valley Le Moulin de Bardéas is a comfortable well-equipped self-contained 3 star gite situated on the ground floor of a detached French farmhouse. Set within a large tranquil secluded garden surrounded by farmland, the property has a heated pool with movable cover for your family to enjoy swimming whatever the weather.
Some of our guests spend their entire holiday on site relaxing in the warm pool, walking or cycling the local lanes and sitting in the sun. Enjoying a lovely family holiday.
Yet just over an hour away are the unmissable Puy du Fou and Futuroscope, the Chateaux of the Loire Valley, and the cities of Poitier, Nantes and Niort. The gorgeous Atlantic coast is less than 2 hours away.
We have 13 acres of fields to explore and enjoy. The river runs just below the gite and is available for fishing, paddling or just peaceful contemplation. The land is maintained to encourage wildlife and there are numerous birds such as Kingfishers, Golden Oriole and Hoopooe to be seen, as well as butterflies and wild flowers.
There is a large fully fenced garden in front of the gite with lots and lots of room for dogs and children to run.
The 5x10m pool is heated to 26 degrees C+ and has a full height retractable cover, allowing guests to enjoy it whatever the weather and extending swimming from April to November. The pool is for exclusive use by the gite guests. There are loungers and sun shades. Pool towels can be supplied.
Just by the house there is a covered area with bbq, table and chairs - perfect for al fresco dining.

Set in a quiet location, a warm welcome by Lorraine (owners were in holiday themselves), nice house, comfortable, enjoyed the semi-indoor pool so much, it stayed nice and warm inside and when it got really sunny we could open it up. In the evening we could sit outside and barbecue. Our toddler could run around safely in the garden and watch the ducks and chickens. Nice stay indeed :-)
The gite was in a lovely location, where you were away from the hustle and bustle and you were able to relax. Nicky and David were lovely and very approachable if you needed anything.
